Our Story

In 1997, our late founder stood on a stretch of barren desert in the Bahareya Oasis, 370 kilometers west of Cairo, with a vision. A lifelong entrepreneur from a farming family, he believed Egypt had the potential to become a global leader in premium Medjool date production. Today, that vision thrives as Linah Farms, a family-owned and operated business that continues to set the standard for excellence in Medjool dates.

From humble beginnings, we transformed virgin desert land into a lush oasis, now home to over 70,000 thriving date palms, with a target of reaching 100,000. Our farm is more than just a business; it's a legacy rooted in sustainability, innovation, and dedication to quality.

Over the years, we’ve grown into a fully integrated operation that completes the agricultural value chain—from propagation and cultivation to packing and export. While Medjool dates are our crown jewel, we also produce Barhi dates, mangoes, and medicinal herbs, depending on the season.

The Farm

Nestled in the Western Desert, surrounded by mountains and natural springs, Linah Farms is a green oasis in the heart of the Bahareya Oasis. This region, once an agricultural center during Pharaonic times, offers ideal conditions for cultivating superior Medjool dates: year-round sunshine, unpolluted soil, and underground aquifers that sustain our palms.

Our farm started as a reclamation project, turning untouched desert into fertile farmland. The foundation of our success lies in our partnership with Al Wathba Marionnet, the renowned French-Emirati experts in tissue culture. Through this collaboration, we secured the highest-quality Medjool seedlings, ensuring consistency and excellence in every harvest.

Today, Linah Farms spans over 3,000 acres, with more than 1,000 dedicated employees working year-round. Combining traditional farming methods passed down through generations with cutting-edge techniques, we ensure that every step—from planting to hand-pollination, hand-harvesting, and climate-controlled sorting—is executed to perfection.
